Poorboy's Polish with Sealant

http://webpages.charter.net/kmford/pws/1.jpg

"...More info on Polish w/ Sealant (PwS)
This was the info posted on Friday....

* it can be used with a pc
* it can be used with a rotary
* it can be used by hand
* it does not dust at all
* it is pad dependent (will do different jobs depending on the pad)
* it will remove oxidation
* it will remove swirls
* it will remove light/ medium scratches
* it will leave a clean finish
* it will leave a shiny surface
* it will leave a slick finish
* it can be topped if desired by either sealants or waxes
* it can be used as a stand alone product for Pro detailers who need a one step product !!

Yesterday I did some more testing on my truck. After claying, I purposely induced holograms on my hood with a rotary and a wool pad, they were removed using the PwS and an orange Lake Country pad that was primed with only PwS, with a speed of 5-6, after spreading at 1-2. It took one pass to remove all the holograms and two to eliminate 95+% of all the swirls and light scratches. I let the remaining product haze and then it wiped off without any effort at all with a mega-plush towel.
On the driver side I used an orange pad(speed of 5-6) and tried dampening the pad first with Spray & Gloss. This I find not advisable, even though it seemed to let the product go further, it also made it a bit harder to remove. Slickness and shine seemed the same as the hood.
On the passenger side, after claying, I used only a white polishing pad with the PwS, after priming the pad with just PwS, and it also removed the swirls, light scratches, but came off much easier than the dampened pad.
The shine, slickness and clarity on all the panels was quite impressive considering only an hour and a half was spent doing the sides and the hood of a large truck...."

Optimum Poli Seal

http://www.prestoimage.com/prestostore_graphics/7518_pd292210full.jpg

"...David from Optimum shot me a sample of this stuff the other day and I gave it a try over the weekend. I haven't seen the stuff discussed much around here, so I thought I'd mention my findings.

Keep in mind, this is a brief, quick hit of my experiences and not intended to be a full, comprehensive review.

From the label (paraphrasing) - Optimum Poli-Seal is the most unique and versatile all-in-one product ever introduced!...The micro abrasives in [Poli-Seal] will ensure light paint correction and not just in the hiding of imperfections. It can be used as a light swirl mark remover, a final polish and a true wax and sealant.

Characteristics - It is a liquid that has the look, feel and consistency of hand lotion. It is very smooth and free of chunks. There is no artificial scent. It smells like a polish. It's not an unpleasant smell.

Experience - The test subject was a white Pontiac Grand Prix. I was at a Mod Day and I had brought along my arsenal to give a detailing demonstration. A member with a white car wanted me to do his hood to see what difference I could make. It had light swirls (hell, the hood is white) and had some staining. It probably needed a claying, but I left that at home.

I hit the hood with the Opti-Seal with my PC and a white LC polishing pad. I worked it at speed six for a couple minutes. The Opti-Seal did clean the stains off the paint and removed/reduced most of the light swirls. It was easy enough to buff off and I didn't notice any streaking. The surface was pretty slick when I was done. The owner was pretty impressed and were the observers.

Conclusion - I still need to test the stuff further, but I think it will make a very good one-step product. It has decent paint correction abilities and leaves a slick surface behind. I can't vouch for beading or protection as it wasn't raining and the car is on the other side of the city. I'll see it next month, so I'll be able to check up on it then. If I can find the time, I'll probably test it out on our black Envoy. The vehicle does need a full detail as it's been several months since it's seen one.

As I said before, this is meant only as a quick hit of a review. I tried the stuff and wanted to mention it around here. I don't post much in regrads to reviews, but I thought some of you might be interested.

I don't know wher you can find the stuff. I don't even know if it's even being produced yet. I imagine Autogeek has it or will have it shortly...."

Venha daí a review.

Mal tenha conclusões definitivas e especialmente a versão final do Poorboy's Polish with Sealant , irei apresentar a review.

The trunk lid was absolutely the worst on the whole car, this is AFTER using Optimum Hyper Compound x 2 using yellow Cyclo cutting pads, Optimum Polish using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads.

Believe it or not, this is after using Poli-Seal, PC and a white LC polishing pad x 2.

If he doesn't have that shop wetsand and buff the car out, since I plan on getting a rotary soon, I will contact him after the holidays (and I have had a lot of practice with a rotary!) and see if he wants me to take another crack at it. Heck, who knows, maybe based on the improvement Poli-Seal made, he may just want me to hit it with that 4-5 times a year.
